"... projected into the heavens; for myths never were and never are made consciously, they arise from man's unconscious."
Carl Gustav Jung
The famous Swiss psychiatrist, once a close collaborator with Freud, & eventually developed his own branch of psychology: Analytical Psychology. Jung blended psychology with mythology, philosophy, anthropology, dreams, alchemy and astrology.
Jung's ideas, The Collective Unconscious and Archetypes are the fundamentals of modern Astrology.
The Collective Unconscious ---> Universal patterns, symbols, and experiences shared across humanity.
Archetypes ---> Universal symbols, patterns, or motifs that emerge from the collective unconscious and shape human experiences, myths, and behaviors.
The zodiac represents distinct behavioral expressions, each sign embodying a unique way of being, engaging with life, and relating to the world. Archetypes are inherited symbols that manifest in behavior, and astrology has long been one of the most powerful tools for understanding them.
"Astrology may be quite unknown to you consciously, yet to your unconscious it is very intimately known... The qualities of the different months of the year, in other words, the signs of the zodiac, are really projections of the unconscious knowledge in our unconscious. Knowledge based upon unconscious experiences, that certain things originating at certain times of the year have such and such qualities."
